The Empire magazine on the left was an edition that featured 'The Hobbit' film. This layout is extremely common within magazines as the mid-shot is used with an angle of gaze which attracts the audience. We included 'The World's biggest movie magazine' at the top of our magazine after seeing this on many different Empire magazines.
